Ode to Halloween
I love Halloween. The house is all decked out (although I could use more outdoor stuff - Party City near my house closed down and I do miss it - but I digress), the bowl is filled with candy and I'm ready for the trick or treaters. I've had, but not nearly enough. The problem is, our neighbors to the right and left don't participate, so kids have to decide if we're worth going to the end for (sometimes they just turn the corner across the street - you know how it is, you're tired of walking and you need to get the most bang for your buck so you stick to the side of the street with the most decorations.) I love trick or treaters and I miss trick or treating (maybe I should rent-a-kid for Halloween so I could take them out). BTW, the costumes are especially good this year I noticed - very put together, none of these kids with only but a bag to put candy in...Yesterday at work was actually fun - all Halloween, all day. Did any of you kids get dressed in costume for school? Fun, fun, fun. Sari

You and I both need to live on busy streets or avenues. These dead end streets just don't cut it on Halloween. Sure, we got trick or treaters but not nearly the gangs of kids I saw walking on the busier streets in town :(
But isn't that what appealed to each of you, that you didn't have a lot of traffic right outside your house?
actually, i like traffic outside my house!
OH.
i do get walking traffic to and from school, but trick or treaters is a different kind of traffic. it's fun traffic. s.
In other words, what you are both saying is that you have a lot of candy left. What kind?
yes i did dress up at school, most people did.
