Hey Michael - Pretty cool! Congratulations.......What's specifically involved in the Competition?....Good Luck! ....Mitch
michael, good luck, that christopher guy looks like he means business! go get 'em! s.
Michael,
So proud of you...as always.
So, on behalf of Michael who said he has no time to respond (no joke)-- it's basically the top scorers on the PSAT from around the country are selected (varying cutoffs by state) and then move on to compete for Finalist spots, some of who will end up receiving some scholarship money. How many semi-finalists there are varies from school to school, as some may have 25 and some may have 0. His school had 3 as you know!
To become a finalist, the student fills out all this paperwork and writes an essay, and their principal writes a letter and also includes every quarter's grade for every subject throughout high school. They find out in Feb. if they've became a finalist and in March if they're being awarded any scholarship money.
And that's the story, morning glory :)
